“Teamwork” has become one of those buzzwords that makes many of us flinch. Often team members work at cross-purposes and the team, rather than being an aid to productivity, becomes its greatest obstacle.

If you’re not leading the team, you can still ask for clarification of goals and objectives (Covey, 2004). Maintain clear lines of communication with teammates. Be sure you understand your role on the team and that you have the resources to do your job. Gain an understanding of the roles of your teammates to avoid duplicating efforts.

Step 2: Train The Team

The second step in building a better team is to practice comprehensive team building up front. In an ideal world every team would be made up of perfectly complimentary personalities and everyone would always get along like the best of friends. The ideal world is a nice place, but we live in the real world. Teams are made of people, each of whom has unique personality traits and some of whom hardly know each other. Good teamwork does not necessarily require intricate interpersonal relationships or friendships. What it does require is effective team building (Willcocks, 1997) from the outset. Team building sessions, where members’ concerns, problems and issues can be resolved are a healthy way of preventing problems.

Team building should have two parts, one that focuses on group skills and one that focuses on project specific skills or training. The entire team should be brought together to encourage communication and ensure that everyone is moving in the same direction.

Building group skills can be a daunting task. How do you train adults to get along with each other and work as a team? The best place to start is with profiling and assessment tools. There is a certain set of circumstances under which this problem never even activates in a woman’s mind or intuition. Do you want to know when this is? It is whenever the woman feels the encounter “just happening”… when it simply “just happens”. It’s not “This guy saw me on the street and decided to come and pick me up”, it’s “it just happened” with a romantic tone of “it was meant to happen”.

Now I know what one part of your brain is thinking at this point… “ok, how do I make her think that?”, “what’s the way to approach her to make her feel like it just happened”… Well, you’re not going to like this answer. There is no way to fake that. It really has to “just happen”. Not even the best actor on the planet can fake “a natural moment”. There are some “pickup techniques” aimed at emulating this feeling, but all they do is simply increase the chances… a little bit, but nowhere close to the “real thing”.

“Ok, but I don’t have things like this *just happen* to me, am I doomed to never meeting women I see in everyday situations?”

You see… this is a very interesting psychological catch-22. In order to have things just happen, you need to be a “natural”, and in order to become a natural, you need to have things happening to you. “What the heck are you saying there man? You’re confusing me!” Let me backtrack a little bit. What we mean when say “a natural” is one of these guys who just always seems to find himself saying and doing the right thing. As he is standing in line at the booth office, a dog happens to run by, the natural cracks a witty comment and all the people in the line bust out laughing. As he arrives at the pedestrian walk, the light turns red so he cracks a comment about it to the stunning woman on the left of him… and she starts laughing… pretty soon, they’re in a cafe 2 blocks down, having a date.

I could go on with examples, but I am sure you have must have met one of these guys who just seems to always find himself in conversations everywhere he goes, and he doesn’t even try. This is what we call a “natural”.

Well see… this is where the catch-22 thing comes in. A very clearly established scientific fact that we know is that in order to purposefully build a certain skill or attribute that you haven’t gotten by accident as you were growing up… is to “condition it in”. That means if you’re not the kind of a person who can just walk onto a stage and speak in front of a crowd, you just do it enough times, until it’s so conditioned that you can do it without a thought or effort.

I think you can already see the problem here. How do you condition in “things just happening”? Isn’t that a freaky notion?

It sure is.

That’s why you do something completely different. You don’t work on it directly. You go out and become the best damn “un-natural” that you can. And I know you’re tired by mysterious sounding new-agey terms like this by now… But this simply means: take all the tools that are available out there to teach you how to become excellent at going out and “picking up” or “meeting women”, and just become proficient at them.

Become one of the guys I portrayed in the first example: the kind of a guy who just walks out there and approaches women (on purpose) and is able to ask them out. This science project is literally cool as it uses cold water or room temperature H20 and some balloons to complete the experiment. In this demonstration you will use a balloon and expose it to the heat of a candle flame.

This project was done by a group of girls and they loved the activity, however, it can be done by a 7th grade student or as an 8th grade science experiment. You can call it a middle school demonstration since both grades should achieve success with this project.

Before you do this you will need the supervision of a parent or adult and they may actually want to hold the balloon over the flame and light the matches and candles for you. Please use caution when using matches and candles.

The materials needed for the demonstration:

· 2 balloons

· Water

· Matches

· A tapered candle in a holder

Here are the Instructions for the experiment:

Light the candle with the match.

Blow up the first balloon and tie the end. Hold the balloon over the candle flame. You may want to cover your eyes with protective goggles. This balloon will pop and does so very quickly. Relight the candle with another match. Fill up the other balloon with water. It does not matter what temperature the water is. Tie the end of this water filled balloon.

Hold this over the candle flame. What is happening? You will notice the balloon does not pop sex de the other balloon. The flame is not hurting the balloon skin. Why does the balloon not pop? The water is absorbing the heat and doing so very quickly that it avoids damaging the balloon or melting it in any way. You will notice some black debris on the outside of the balloon. This is just carbon emitted from the candle flame sex video It can easily be wiped off with a damp paper towel.

Here is an explanation of why the water keeps the second balloon from popping. It is protecting the balloon and keeping it cool enough to not allow it to break. Do a little research before you demonstrate this to your audience about the actual heat coming from the flame and why and how the water can absorb the heat even though the balloon is the actual material touching the surface of the candle flame.

This is another cool science project idea for your next fair experiment.
